In the afternoon of October 27, 2023, International students of our school participated in the intangible cultural experience activity in Room 201 of Zhaoxi Building:Hand embroidery

Chinese embroidery, the stitch and thread of weaving is handed down to the world. Embroidery has a history of two or three thousand years and is one of the traditional Chinese folk crafts. Embroidery has important cultural inheritance and expression significance in Chinese culture. Embroidery is not only a kind of decoration, but also a way of cultural inheritance and expression. It represents the essence of traditional Chinese culture and conveys the unique charm of Chinese culture.

At the beginning of the activity, the lecturer introduced the four famous Chinese embroideries: Suzhou embroidery, Shu embroidery, Hunan embroidery and Guangdong embroidery to the international students through videos and pictures, and their respective characteristics, so that everyone can understand embroidery and feel the unique charm of embroidery. Afterwards, the lecturer explained the common stitching techniques and skills of embroidery to everyone.

In the experience session, the embroidery teacher taught the international students the method of embroidery hand by hand, and the international students selected the patterns to embroider according to their own preferences and embroidery abilities, sewing by stitch, wearing and winding, and concentrating on making their own works. After a period of hard work, a beautiful piece of hand-made work was completed, and the international students smiled with joy and couldn't wait to take photos with their works.

The atmosphere at the event was harmonious and warm, and the international students had a deeper understanding of China's intangible cultural heritage.
